When thinking about Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics it makes me think of how important this career cluster is to our economy. In what way do you think the cluster contributes to/effects our nation's economy? Please describe your two careers in this cluster first. How do you think each of your two careers in this cluster contribute to/effect our nation's economy? How does this cluster contribute to/effect the other clusters you have completed research in? The two careers I chose in the cluster of transportation are: a flight attendant, and a ship captain. A flight attendant tends to the needs of the pilot and the passengers on a flight. A ship captain steers a boat and controls the other workers on the boat and instruct them what to do. Both of these careers help get different goods to and from different places all over the world. By working on a plane you can deliver different products from place to place. By being a ship captain you take cargo from one place to another and drop it off to some place that needs it but can not produce the good. If we didn't have flight attendants and ship captains then you couldn't transfer things by air or water. These occupations are all a major necessity to our economy. In order to live in our everyday lives we need tranportation. Not every part of the economy can get what they need from the region in which they live. In order to get what they need from another region they use tranportation to transport the things that are needed to that are that does not have that. If we couldn't transport different goods to other regions that doesn't have that good then people would not be able to get what they need in order to survive. Transportation helps all other clusters in one way or another. Whether or not it has a big affect or a little affect on the other clusters. By using transportation to get goods to other places they help other clusters.

I chose to research the two careers; Licensing Examiners and Inspectors and Reporters and Correspondents. These two careers I chose because I always wanted to be a reporter you see on TV when I was younger. I chose to be an Licensing Examiner because they get to inforce laws without having to go through the trouble to become an officer so its a simpler version of being an Police officer in my opinion. They connect to my chosen career by qualities these workers need to do their job. They all three require hard working, concentrated, dedicated people who care for others. You have to have concern for others to be these careers. I think that being a License Examiner is more similar to an Athletic Trainer than a Reporter is. A reporter has to keep lots of records and data collected just like an athletic trainer does.

Every job in the Ag, Food, and Natural Resources cluster helps provide the world with food and all these resources that they make. Here in our community we have many farmers who work in this buisness. By farming and doing there job they make money which is necessary in life. Many people here in Paris, Illinois are farmers and rely on the Ag, Food, and Natural Resources cluster for their jobs and to make money needed in life. If we didn't have these jobs in the cluster then most of our nation would be out of work, money, and food. This is the top industry for food and we need food to survive. Without this cluster we wouldn't have food and we wouldn't be alive. Our human race would die off because we aren't getting our food which is a necessity. My two careers relate to my life in some ways. For example, both my jobs require the skills and characteristics that I portray. My two careers relate to my community because they help provide my community with food and information regarding the food that we as a community should know. After researching careers in the Ag, Food, and Natural Resources cluster, you should be making connections between those careers and your day to day life. How does each of the two careers you learned about relate to your life? How does each of those careers relate to our community? How do they relate to, fit in to, or affect our nation in general?

We compared these two diverse careers to show how completely different a career and it's cluster can be but also how deep down if you think hard enough you can find the smallest similarities between them. Some of these careers have absolutely nothing in common and are complete opposites, somehow they both seemed to have similarities. These similar physical characteristics were difficult to find but they ended up having at least five similarities.

My two careers I researched for the Architecture and Construction cluster are an Interior Designer and an Architectural Drafter. These two careers are similar because both jobs prepare designs and plans determining the layout of building whether it be inside or outside the building. They both have to be able to get along with the clients and have the clients needs in mind. Both careers require coordination and you need to be able to pay attention to detail. You also need to be dependable. Your clients depend on you to get what they ask and want done. These careers are different because an Interior designer designs and furnishes interiors of building. They have to coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and plumbers. An Architectural Drafter prepares detailed drawings of design plans for buildings and structures according to what the architect wants. Students have just finished researching the Architecture and Construction career cluster. I'm curious to know how the two careers they looked at are similar and how they are different. I'm also interested to know if either of those two careers relate in any way to their chosen career. It should be interesting to read their posts!

The career cruising career that I chose was an Athletic Trainer. The career I did in Human Services was a Fitness Trainer and Aerobic Instructor. These careers are both helping and assisting people to keep their bodies in shape and most importantly healthy. Both jobs require the worker to have concern for others and they need to be dependable and cooperative. Both jobs help keep someone healthy and the number one priority for both careers is to keep your client in good health and help them reach good health. I believe I could work in Human Services because I portray the characteristics of someone who would work in the Human Services field. Both careers revolve around other people and you have to be caring and concerned for others so I could become employed in this field.

It's important for us to understand the personalities in the workplace because if you put your personality into condsideration with your job they should correspond well together. For example, if you are a teacher but you don't like being around other people or you don't like children then being a teacher probably isn't what's best for you. You need to correspond where you work with your personality.
